This Drawlloween has been off to an interesting start. Some wins, some fails but a lot of learning how to do stuff.
Case in point: Timelapse Videos Made in a Timely Manner.
I've been recording myself drawing these pics and, after a time, popping them into a template and posting them onto my YouTube page in a big ol' playlist. You can find that here. -> [Timelapse A-Go-Go!]
This... was my sticking point, really. -.-
I'm good at making videos and whatnot but getting them out at some point in time close to when the actual artwork was made? Not so much. So I built a template to help things along. I spent days trying to find a spooky song that was long enough to work for the timelapse part but not so terrible that folks could hear it a few vids in a row and not want to punch their screen. I failed on that last part (Sorry!) but it's okay! This just means I need to plan better if I decide to do this part again next year. I need to find more than one song at a decent set length that I can slot into a spot and rotate them from video to video.
Oh! Another video related thing is there's a new version of the Snick classic 'Are You Afraid of the Dark?' and it looks pretty good. The fine folks at Nickelodeon loaded it to their YouTube channel. You can find the 1st episode for it over here. -> [Submitted for the Approval of the Midnight Society]
Now I'm off to do a page count in this current strip book. With this story bit done and Halloween just around the corner, I might just have the chance to do a proper holiday comic and fake movie poster. The question then becomes can I do that And still fit another story bit in this book afterward. If I can't it'll be a night of writing along with the intro recordings and the Drawlloween wind down pic. I'm busy but I'm enjoying it.
'Till next time! = )
