With this being the last post of This year, I figured I'd buckle down and figure out what I'm going to be doing Next year.
Here's a loose plan:
- I'm cutting back to posting every other week 'till this story bit is done. I know that sucks (especially after that last few long chunks of downtime) but it is what it is. I want to see this strip through 'till I can't do it anymore and not pretending I'm still in my late 20's/early 30's with all the time and stamina in the world will really help that plan.
Once I'm done with this Story Bit, I'll reassess and see if things have changed. If not, I'll keep on keepin' on and see how I feel after the next Story Bit. Playing it by ear isn't the greatest but it's the best plan I got that still gets you comics to read and allows me to keep making them.
- I NEED to update the site. It has been in dire need of a facelift for a while. I have some stuff written so far but nothing is to that state where I'm down for testing things live. I already know I'll have some updates that are required sooner rather than later. Which leads to the next point...
- I'm switching newsletter places. TinyLetter is going to be killed off in February 'cause MailChimp - the folks behind it - decided it was in their best interest to only run One service instead of Two.
Out of the many out there, I'm thinking about going with a service called Buttondown. I'll be taking it for a spin but the plan is to take the few folks who are currently subscribed and move them over to the new system. I'll replace the little signup box with the new one at a later date.
And that's pretty much it for this quickie sorta' State of the Strip at the end of 2023. Aside from putting in some work on the next Biff Book in 2024, there's not much else to say besides thanking all of you folks who've swung past this place throughout the year. I'm grateful for the views and I hope my goofy little comic strip full of Monsterfolk brought a little joy to your day. = )
I hope your New Year is happy, healthy and (at the very least) better than this past one.
Remember: Stay Safe. Wear a Mask if you need to. Get vaccinated if you can. Get a booster if you're already good on all that. And remember to keep your head up.
From everyone here at the House of Amill, have a Happy New Year and whatever other holidays you celebrate that I'll miss in the meantime.
'Till next time! = )
