The most recognizable of these right now is Toonami with TOM and Sara. They bring us fresh anime goodness every Saturday night (again) and keep this lovely little tradition alive.

The blocks I grew up on were little chunks of time - usually about an hour or two - that were filled with weekday afternoon cartoon goodness. Memorable ones were the Disney Afternoon and the Kids' WB. From those came excellent shows like 'Darkwing Duck' and 'Batman: The Animated Series' respectively.

There were others, though. 'The Comic Strip', the 'USA Cartoon Express' and 'FoxBox' where... things. I didn't watch them often but I knew of them. I'd rattle off the Saturday Morning ones but I think the only one that really had a proper title was 'Fox Kids' but ABC and CBS had some Fantastic shows that ran on them for like four or five hours like every Saturday morning. = )

It's a shame that I can't really point out more. Time and the rise of stations/services devoted completely to cartoons kinda' killed 'em off. Still fun to go back and, like Biff, hunt down some of them for old times sake.
