Trip'd Up

Email Me Prophet on Twitter Prophet on Bluesky -
So! You may have noticed a lack of strip this week.

Well... Fun Story! = D

I didn't finish it. It's still sitting on the Art Desk with just barely sketched out. The first panel isn't even done. I spent the bulk of last week (WAY Deep into my drawing time) getting things ready for a trip out from the House of Amill to a house out in Utah to see family.

You're probably asking "Why didn't you have this all done and ready to post before you left?". Simply put, I don't Vacation well. I thought I'd do my usual trip prep, have my gear set to go and I could put the rest of my time into getting the comic done and posted for this past Sunday. Oh Boy! Did I think Wrong. >.<

I spent the bulk of my time figuring out what all I'd need, what I Really didn't need to take and the other random tasks that come from flying for the first time since 2000. Then I did the only thing I could think of after that... I stared at the Strip Book for an hour before either going back to checking my gear or running around Mars to take my mind off of this being the first time I've been on a plane in over a decade. I'm less afraid of flight than I am of being stranded 'cause my Old Artist Body couldn't make it to the gate on time.

So I ask that you wait just a Little Bit longer for the last strip of this current story bit. I will try my best to post pics of artwork and whatnot to my Instagram (and the Biff Twitter feed 'cause I Finally got that all sorted out). With a little luck, the next should go up sometime around June 10th if all goes well.

'Till next time! = )

Sketching and Me

Email Me Prophet on Twitter Prophet on Bluesky -
SO! This past Thursday was the first of this year's "3rd Thursday" events in my town. People showed up, browsed the booth I worked as per usual and I had a little time to work on a sketch.

It hit me that I'm just not down for sketching lately. Not sure how I feel about that, either. Sketching stuff leads to getting ideas out of my head and somewhere I can do something with/ignore/avoid/improve on. It lets me relax and do other things beyond always being all about the strip. It's Healthy.

Yeah... yeah. -.-

There is a very solid chance that I'll have a little free time away from my comic stuff for a couple of days. I was planning on taking my Tablet PC (The reason I just redid it) and getting back into practicing my digital art skills. I think I'm going to make it a thing where I just do loose sketches or quick 1 to 5min dealies to work things out.

Sometimes, I have to give my self permission to relax. Other times, I have to physically separate myself from my work so I'll stop going "I NEED TO MAKE COMIC STUFF!!" every time I put pencil to paper on something that isn't Biff related or Biff-adjacent. = P

Now for the usual post-comic posting stuff like getting some food.

'Till next time! = )
