It's true! After trying for a bit to book an appointment someplace to get the 1st dose of a Covid vaccine, I ended up getting one at the least of likely of places... my local Wal-Mart.
Was in there getting some food and whatnot when the PA system mumbled something about walk-ins for the shot. Not quite sure what they meant (and figuring I might as well see if they had any openings available), I swung by the pharmacy and - sure enough - they were doing shots right then and there. No appointment needed. Just fill out some paperwork, pass 'em your ID and insurance card, step into their little patient viewing area and get stuck. Simple as that. = )
So, yeah... if you're having trouble booking an appointment for your shots, give your local Wal-Mart or other in-store pharmacy a try. You might just get lucky like me and walk away with a band-aid on your arm and an appointment for a 2nd dose in a month.
Gotta' love how this happened the day before the posting of a strip talking about vaccines. I couldn't have planned this better if I tried. = P
Anyhoo! My left arm got stuck so I can still draw tonight. I've got some inks to do and possibly some old computer rehabbing, too. I've wanted to replace my Art Desk system for a bit now but the equipment I've been waiting to drop in price, well... hasn't. So I got the smallest reasonable SSD and the little adapter bits to fit it into my old machine coming on Monday (possibly). I don't think I could upgrade the RAM even if I could find it so this should help with some of the past issues for now.
I'd like to have it back up and running so I can have reference stuff up while possibly keeping an eye of the chat during broadcasts. Just using my tablet means I can only do one and that's no good if I want to stream more. Plans for another day...
Remember: Stay Safe. Wear a Mask. Get vaccinated if you can.
'Till next time! = )
