WWPhilly '14 Report

Email Me Prophet on Twitter Prophet on Bluesky -
As you know from two posts prior (and my tweets this past weekend), my friends and I got to spend a day down in Philadelphia for WizardWorld Philly. It was a miracle that I got there and it's seriously thanks to my folks for putting up with me and matching the funds I had to allow me to escape the state for a couple of days. = )

It was a good trip! Didn't get crazy with the spending but still had the chance to support my fave creators and a few new ones. Unlike years past, this was a bit of non-stop con. A ton of panels that we all wanted to see practically back-to-back. That was great. What wasn't is I kinda' sorta' packed for the alternative. Had in my backpack the strip book, two script books, a small sketchpad, my sketchbook and my tablet. Adding to the gear was the stuff I bought and the sheer distance traveled around the convention center. By day's end... I was completely wiped. Happy but wiped.

Probably shouldn't have brought all that gear with me (or simply trained for it). Definitely not doing that again (unless I train for it).

Now for the fun part...

The Breakdown:

  • Days Spent: 1
  • Cash Spent: A little over $200
  • Panels Attended: 5.
  • Posters/Pics: 1 (A really neat piece from Agnes Garbowska)
  • Paperbacks/Floppies: 12. 2 collected editions, 9 single issues, 1 Kickstarted Handbook so it didn't need to be shipped to my house.
  • Extras: 1 Magnet that came free with a fantastic comic.
  • Whovian to Homestuck ratio: 2:1

I'll toss a proper spread image up to my Tumblr later. For now, I need to write up this next strip as I said I'd answer an Ask next.

'Till next time! = D

HoA Presents!: 06.25.14 - Biff Inks

Email Me Prophet on Twitter Prophet on Bluesky -
Got my old Art Desk system updated and fired up. Figure I'll stream a bit of me working on the inks for this next strip. Going to start it off around 9pm EST (with the usual BS for folks who show up early).

Check it out Live (possibly)! >.<
