One and a Half Thumbs Up!

Email Me Prophet on Twitter Prophet on Bluesky -
So... had a good Thanksgiving. It was nice and quiet and I really can't complain.

Almost stayed home on 'Black Friday'. Had to buy some stuff but not by choice. Ya' see, I have two dogs - an old one and a young one. Both fairly big. Both fairly lazy at times. The older one has a habit to pull a surprise stretch while people are walking by. This makes it tough when walking past as you need to watch your step lest you step on her paw.

I didn't see her stretch out this time. -.-

I got her good. She got me better. My right thumb was bit and now I kinda' can't work 'till it heals. She's okay and I got not one but two stories to tell* out of a fairly annoying accident so it's all good.

So, I can't draw at the moment but I can still write fairly well. Everything's healed up enough where I shouldn't lose too much work to this. Normally, I'd jump at the chance to use this as an excuse to take time off but I have this really kinda' neat story idea that I want to get down on paper before I forget. Then I'll rest up proper 'till I can draw again... which shouldn't be too long, really. I've got what I like to call a 'Mutant Healing Factor' but it's really just that I tend to take better care of myself when injured than I do when I'm relatively healthy. = P

Now to attempt some writing!

I'll keep folks posted on when the strip will return. = )

My 2nd Favorite Food-based Holiday

Email Me Prophet on Twitter Prophet on Bluesky -
That's the best part of Thanksgiving for me.

Sure, some folks still do the fiction about the Pilgrims in their buckle hats having a nice sit down meal with the local tribe. Others are big on the football and the snacks devoured while two teams try to add one more to their Win column. There are even those poor pieless souls who have to work that day 'cause some crazy corporations thought it a good idea to be open that day.

The one thing that runs through it all is food. Delicious food. I'm sure there's something about being thankful and whatnot in there, too, but We know what the real reason we celebrate is. = )

Now... for some old business!

I found one of the papers from the little comic shindig I mentioned last time! It's a small booklet from the very neat comic 'Why Do I Rock?' by Bradley Sheridan. It's a color Gag-A-Day starring a giant dinosaur who usually ends up breaking stuff. In other words, it's a fun comic I plan on keeping an eye on. = )

As for the podcaster that was there... I can't find the flyer that had their link on it. I think it's buried on my computer desk at the moment. I know I'll find it and, when I do, I'll give it a listen and tell you folks about it!

That's pretty much it for me for now. I have some more strips to write and some tech to attempt to fix. My ThinkPad Tablet - the fun little Android powered tablet with the nice active digitizer that I was using to draw digital pics on - up and broke on me last night. This probably won't end well but I'm hoping I can resurrect it.

See you folks in a week.

'Till next time! = )
