Anyhoo! I decided to split what was planned to be a double-decker up into two strips. The more I read it, the more it pushed to be two singles instead of of one big 'ol strip. Which makes more sense in the long run as I kinda' need that room to let the gag be. If I kept it as one big ol' double, I'd have had two wildly different gags competing for laughs.

Think of it like a comedy show where you see the writers are trying to stuff two good jokes back to back in a scene. Instead of double the funny, you run the risk of things falling flat. A simple change of adding a beat between the jokes takes that risk out and let's both have their time to shine a bit.

These are the things I think about while working. I also think about how much of a fool Past Me was for sticking Present Me (then Future Me) with an odd decision to me. Past Me can be a real punk some times, I tell ya'...

Time for me to grab some water and see what I can do to remedy my current 'Net situation.
