So Close! >.< | |

I am So Rusty with Illustrator. Thankfully, I'm not so rusty that I couldn't get this done tonight. Granted, I wanted to get this up on Halloween night but it still fits within the old comic update schedule. = )
This poster is based off a film I've never seen before - I Married a Monster from Outer Space.
It's one of the many neat old posters I have in my folder of classic scifi and horror movie stuff and it was too goofy for me to pass up on. It was crying out for the bunny film treatment. I'd have added more to it (like shading and textures) but the clock was ticking and I had no desire to make this any later than it already was.
Something I found out while doing this one was that my measurements for movie posters was off. I had been going under the assumption that they were like regular large posters - 24"x36". This is not the case! They are actually 27"x40" for a modern one-sheet and 27"x41" for older movie posters. Apparently, I have been cutting them pretty short all these years. Part of me wants to re-do my faves from years past with the right dimensions. A less insane part of me wants to make a template with the right numbers so I don't mess up from this point forward.
Here's hoping that the latter overcomes the former. o.O
From the crew here at the House of Amill, we hope you had a good Halloween/Tuesday and hope that the rest of your week is awesome as well.
'Till next time! = )
